The BMW M3 E36 is the second generation of the BMW M3, produced from March 1992 to 1999. It was the first M3 to feature a six-cylinder engine, marking a significant departure from the four-cylinder E30 M3. The E36 M3 was available as a Coupé, Convertible, and — for the first time in M3 history — a four-door Saloon (from 1994). The engine line-up consists of two Euro-spec S50 engines: the 3.0-litre S50B30 (286 hp) from 1992 to 1995, and the 3.2-litre S50B32 (321 hp) from 1995 to 1999.
