With a diagnostic tool, compare actual boost pressure to the target at idle and under load. If the sensor reads significantly higher than atmospheric at key-on, it may be faulty.
Check the boost pressure sensor connector for corrosion or damaged wires. An intermittent short to 5V can cause high readings.
